Applying for Sixth Form

1.      Attend the Post 16 Information Event in November. If you cannot attend the evening you may contact the Sixth Form directly to arrange a visit or a meeting to discuss subject choices.

2.      Details of the Year 12 courses we currently offer, together with subject entry requirements are on the Sixth Form Courses Page.

4.     To apply, complete the online application form

Students should choose 3 subjects, plus a reserve subject.

We will endeavour to set the subject blocks to match student’s interests. Where subject combinations are not possible, students will be contacted and a discussion with Head of Sixth Form will be arranged.

Sixth Form Application Procedure

October   
Guidance session with a member of the sixth form team. This 1:1 session helps you reflect on your plans for the future, and how to get you there.

November 9th
Destinations and Open evening. A packed evening where you can meet with universities and employers to discover where you might want to go post-18, and then discuss the best courses to get you there with subject leads in the 6th form centre.

Late November
Subject tasters. The opportunity to experience the 6th form subjects you might be considering taking on.

December /January  
Submission of application form (deadline January 12th, although applications submitted after this date will be considered).

January/February
Additional meetings to help students confirm the best option for next steps.

March/April
Sixth Form offer letter posted to home address.
